Jackson's 5th Birthday

Well, yesterday marked 5 years that Jackson has been around. Being 8 months pregnant and not in the mood to be creative and come up with a clever at home party, we opted to have his "friends" party at Chuck E. Cheese this year. With the help of my kind in-laws, we watched 9 little kids tear that place up. They had a blast and I didn't have a mess to clean up afterward, (which was the whole point of having it somewhere else). The only real work I had to do was making the birthday cake that I promised. Saturday, In the park...

We bought some model rockets a few weeks ago and with the weather being so beautiful yesterday, we decided to take advantage of it...

We set it up.


Held our breath and plugged our ears.

Saw it leave the ground.

Watched it shoot all the way up to the sky.

And watched while Dad got it out of a thorny tree it landed in.

Then did it again, and again and again!

Getting Ready For Baby

We've been really busy lately finishing up T-Ball, finishing with the end of school and getting ready for baby. Poor Jeramy has had every Saturday full of rearranging and putting together furniture for when this little one comes in 6 weeks. (I think we've kept IKEA in business lately.) I'm not much help there because I can't do the heavy lifting and so on. But I have been busy making the baby's quilt, crib bumper and crib skirt. I finally finished them all and put them up. These pictures aren't very good and I know that it's not exactly "baby"ish patterns on the material, but I'm happy with how it all turned out. All I have left to do is make new curtains. Fun, Fun!
